My name is Diana Lee, born and raised in Seattle in December 1984. I am the youngest daughter in my family and most of my childhood was spent sitting around in my family's restaurant in Chinatown where I doodled on pads of papers. I played with my brother's army men, monsters and video games, which probably explains why I like to play first person shooters (Halo, Modern Warfare, etc.) and draw monsters now. I like to spend my weekends exploring the world with my camera, unless it's football season, then I spend my Sundays in front of the tv.
My love of art and video games is what led me to the game industry, which I first started when I was 21. I am also a self taught photographer. My interest in people and the world around me is what led me to photography. I have always been fascinated by people because everyone has their own story to tell, which is also why I like to incorporate stories to my art. Photography is my way of telling the stories of others and art is my way of telling mine. It's my way of escaping the real world and expressing myself.
..but what do I love more than art and photography? Food and travel! I know it's cliche to say I like to try new things, but I really do love traveling around the world trying out new and unusual food. The weirder, the better! I like to think myself as being adventurous and brave but my mom thinks of it as being naive and dumb. I admit, she has a point.
I enjoy embarrassing myself to make my friends laugh. People usually tell me that I'm weird. I am not weird... everyone else is just boring. One of my favorite animals are cows because they are delicious. Swiss mushroom burgers and mangos are my best friends. I love chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips. Korean BBQ owns my soul. Li hing sour candies are like crack to me. Say no to drugs and smoking. Alchohol is gross. I stay awake with pure will power because caffeine makes me fall asleep. ..and I am not short -- I'm fun sized!
